You will have to show me how the reversing light cover panel comes off, the one on Paul's looks like its faded somewhat. It looks like the later ones are the same, just would need to swap the tail badge over.
I know you have a host of older Citroens in your fleet, but i love the series 1 XM shape so much id just want to keep improving it and keep it. Im sure i read somewhere that there are less than 350 XM's on the roads now....might be wrong
Beautiful

Its looking much better after your help on Sunday

Once I get my own polisher it'll hopefully be improved
The panel is very easy to remove, pop off the boot trim and undo three or four screws. It would be interesting if you did find a way to restor them back to black, as you suggested, tinting might be a good idea.
I do really like the XM but I can't see it as a long term car. Out of this and my Activa, its the Activa which really is my pride and joy. I hope to keep that very long term, though im enjoying using and improving this Prestige XM, its a pretty special car. Or should I just sell the C5, use the Prestige daily and keep the Activa as my hobby car, hmm, its a thought!
A few pictures of my XM after a bit of a go with a machine polisher:
Its improving, I doubt its previous owner would recognise the car now. Though its paintwork is a long way frm being close to perfect, it is looking much better and a much deeper black this a shine to it.
Chris.
