Spotted - Silver Series 2 XM.

Post by Duke » Tue Oct 23, 2012 8:24 pm

Was bombing down to the M11 earlier (around 7:30PM) and overtook a V Reg Silver XM with the last three letters on the plate being HVC.

Just before Junction 11, M11.

We was in a white Fiesta Zetec S...

Nowt wrong with that! Nice cars are they and certainly a lot nicer IMO than Citroen's offering that is the new C3.

Not the actual car, but exactly the same:

I like it, and goes well too (1.6 TDCi)...

Actually Franklin, your quite right about that. C3 is a bit of a miss. DS3 much better.

However the DS3 is more money...

No contest between C3...

...and Fiesta (admittedly is the sporty looking Zetec S but hey ho)...

It's nice and refreshing to have a change from Citroens - there are certainly very good (and sometimes better!) alternatives to them. Sometimes it's easy to stick with one brand however it's good to have a change sometimes. It's not my Fiesta, it's my mum's car and I must admit that I am very impressed by it. Wipes the floor performance wise with my C4 and really is a punchy engine... I'd have one.

I'm just waiting for DS3 Racing prices to come down... A lot...

lol... funny that Franklin, my Xantia is currently playing up with a fault Im not tracing(see HERE) and is dangerous, so if I cant track it down, I fancy trying the Laguna 2 next, a 1.9 DCi, on around 02..

At least the Fiasco has a French Heart.... Tell me, is it 8v or 16v? I beleve that PSA have gone back to 8v heads again for better improved Torque...

Ah, but you could have had that engine in your C4, its the torque of a diesel which impresses the most.

You have no doubt seen my thoughts about Renaults of that age and that engine before

Holy cr*p Paul! Really!?

Surely there is something else which takes your fancy?

I thought you were going to get an XM going as your daily anyway?

Ive read that Paul but unfortunately my ideas are not forthcoming with that one

Seriously, do some detailed research into the 1.9DCi before you go there. Even the FCF is a good place, there has been a few 1.9 owners had to watch their car burn to cinders by the roadside. Something you can do without really!

Im sure your HDI is fixable, just put a brick under the pedal for now

Does running the Lexia while your driving and it cuts out not give you any clues?
Chris.
