There has!
Anyway, this Mk1 estate is pretty unique anyway, isn't it?

In it's own way, yes...
Mike's done a great job on it though to keep it going. The blog on BXC is very good.

Over and above the call of duty.

I know, As I already said on the FCF Posting when I first saw the car...
Im well aware the XUD 1.9 N/a first went to light in 1979 in the Horizon, then was added to the 305 saloon then the BX then so on and on and on...
What about the blown one then, the 1.8 (or 17 as citroen would have it as) was first seen in 1988 E, in the BX With Intercooler too!

Happy days - by playing the insurance game a bit I have been able to keep my V6 on the road...
The XM is now under classic cover courtesy of Adrian Flux and at a most excellent price - well under £200 fully comp with the LPG declared and fully accepted as kosher.
The two Xantias remain with Admiral Multicar with similarly excellent prices.

I notice two minor problems. One the gearbox is weeping just a little at the filter cover so next fluid change I guess I need a new O ring. Where's best to get one?
The other problem is a little weep of LHM out of the pump drive shaft. It's only just started to do it and I wonder if the cold weather has anything to do with it. I wonder this as Activa rams are well known for weeping in the cold and magically stop when the temperature rises a bit. Strange but absolutely true...
Still, can't blame them. After all, if I was out in the cold without a nice coat on and stuck under a car I'd be weeping a bit too...
