Re: Gold 2.0Si
That wasn't the photograps I posted, that was someone who was offering those for free last June, so I'm not sure they would still be available.
If it was me, I would get a Romana set and alter the backrest to suit if necessary, it can only be the central sections are made wider, the actual seat bolsters will be the same.

Yep that would be my luck!Dieselman wrote:That wasn't the photograps I posted, that was someone who was offering those for free last June, so I'm not sure they would still be available.
The Romana certainly suits what I want to do. I assume the door cards and centre console are in it? How much £ are we talking? PM me.Dieselman wrote:If it was me, I would get a Romana set and alter the backrest to suit if necessary, it can only be the central sections are made wider, the actual seat bolsters will be the same.
What radio's in it?

It's called XM Ownership Eddie. It can't be avoided and once you've done it than that's it. Ride with it and enjoy it as it'll be with you for ever...Eddie nuff wrote: Do you ever get that feeling you're getting sucked into something you can't get out of?
Hotel California - you can check out any time you like but you can never leave...
That encapsulates XM ownership a treat and to a very slightly lesser extent all Hydraulic Citroen ownership...

Got Goldie back from the painter Saturday morning, looks very nice, he's done a good job.
Gave it a quick wash this morning, went round the black (well grey) plastic with back to black and there's the beginnings of a decent car in there. Will need to do the plastic a few more times but it will come up.
The black on the doors down the B-pillar is still a faded awful purple colour. Any advice on getting this back to the black it should be?
Ran the circular brush bit on the drill over the wheels and it's taken the vast majority of the rust off. Gave them a quick base coat of silver wheel paint and three have come up okay, one is going to have to be done again.
Then off to the dentist.

Re: Gold 2.0Si
For the black door trims, flat down then prime with primer and paint with satin black spray paint. Don't forget to do the slim window guides as well, it makes significant difference to the overall look. The XM was designed with a "band of glass" round the whole car, so needs the black to make it work.
The best plastic rejuvenator I have tried is MER gell.

Re: Gold 2.0Si
Alternatively a cheap solution to bringing back colour to your bumpers is to use nut oil. But always take excess off and us sparingly or it will run if it gets wet.
The door handles benefit from it too.
