Upon reviewing, I think I could do a better job next time.
I really need to sort out this leak and could do with a few basic pointers as to some good/common places to start looking. Not sure if anything is going to get done today as the rain has set in in grand style here (the garage in the pic for the service isn't mine so I have a good excuse!)

Cor it has gone everywhere. What about cleaning the suspect pipe joins and after a couple of days seeing if there is a definite weep from one of them?

I know it is covered in LHM at the mo..might be a good idea to treat that surface rust on the subframe.

Yes, I had thought of doing that but didn't have the appropriate mask with me. I am asthmatic and doing a wire brush treatment with a drill would cause me huge problems without one.
After the vid, I did spray and work in some Waxoyl over these areas. It'll have to do for now till I get another chance to get under there.

The leak is fairly constant and is definitely diesel- I collected a small jar of it after I left it under the sump with the ignition on and the car stationary.
I really need to get to grips with the layout of everything on these engines.

What pump does your car have, Bosch mechanical or Lucas Epic? If not sure, what age is the car.
