Re: Headlining
I can't see it now, but didn't John say he has an estate lining with no sunroof aperture.
If you can get that I have a saloon foam backing you can use as a cutting guide, as the estate is a bit more generous at the edges due to the raised roofline. You can then trim your sunroof hole to suit.

Re: Headlining
Cannot sort out if I can offer any practical help.
Not yet been able to go over the unit to see what is in the heap.
The cars without sunroofs are inaccessible.
Also been a bit laid up since getting back from the show.
Still not been up to storing away most of the car load brought back.

That's got possibilities.Dieselman wrote:I can't see it now, but didn't John say he has an estate lining with no sunroof aperture.

That all depends on what inaccessible means.xmexclusive wrote:The cars without sunroofs are inaccessible.

Re: Headlining
Dieselman has it about right.
Inaccessible (1) means car is on blocks on the far side of the unit.
Bonnet open to store all the spare clutches and some other boxes of bits.
The roof and both sides have been used for parts storage.
Car is SORN and will stay that way for a few years yet.
The main recovered parts storage stack is in front of this car and has some headlinings in it visible near the top.
No idea of condition or my needs but cannot climb/unship from the stack until I get better.
Inaccessible (2) means stored well away from home because I have run out of space nearby.

Re: Headlining
Got over the unit this afternoon.
Found some bits we should have been talking about.
Between the headlining and the car roof there fits a plastic spacer.
It is screwplugs in this spacer that the roof light screws fix to.
The spacers come in two designs varied to suit square and trapizium lights.
I found one of each in the heaps.
It seems the chassis fixings are just three screws on the front edge.
The outer two screws are vertically into chassis plugs.
The centre screw goes horizontally forward.
The head of this screw can be seen in Russ's photo.
Position and spacing of these fixings is common to both variants.
Only the square light spacer has rear screws (two at the rear corners).
I think these screw into the sunroof frame.
