No then, don't go rubbishing a petrol turbo :evil: Do remember I have an XM petrol turbo engine in one of my Xantias and I happen to like them a lot ;)

Hmm, there should really have been a comma after lowly TD! (Incidently I have a TD and love it). Wasn't meaning to rubbish any of them!

I hear very conflicting reports about the TCT engine- some say refined, others coarse, I have no idea.

Actually, I'll take Jim's word for it that it's a good 'un!

Never coarse in my experience but some can be sweeter than others. I find them a lovely engine but I know some don’t care much for them..

They might be a bit thirsty but against that they are virtually bombproof, live a long time and are very trouble-free. They have one of the easiest cam belts of all to change.
