These are excellent pics showing what can happen. Well done fixing it. Just be careful the sound insulation under the carpet hasn't supped up all that water. I understand, it just holds it and won't dry out properly....unless Citroen changed it for mk2 cars.

Upholstery spray glue worked on my headlining.

Pva glue works too on the edges.

The carpet is still damp, as the insulation had soaked a fair bit up, however the missus owned a corsa c that filled it's footwells everytime it rained, so I got quite good at drying them off! Just take all tools off the hose, and sit it on the carpet and it'll suck and suck and draw all the water out from it and the surrounding area. Do this like 20-30 times at 30 seconds each and if your hoover doesn't explode it gets the deep stuff out. You can tell when it's dried as the motor tone changes slightly as airflow comes through rather than water

Cheers on the glue suggestion. Will raid my stepdad's model railway building supplies when it all dries out and have a go! Luckily it's black, so even if the glue does stain through I won't notice!

It's stopped raining now, and brightened up. The one time I want it to carry on heaving it down it doesn't... Better fire up the bbq or do some washing quick to get it back!

For damp carpets, put newspaper down and keep changing it until it doesn't get wet.

Right, good old payday! Getting poor now!

Bought:

Set of ramps
new front wiper blades
ATF
An oil syringe thing to ease the filling process
5l Hydraflush (may get a few litres of LHM incase I need it when bleeding the brakes)

hen some cleaning bits as I'm running out, hope they come by next saturday!
Clay
More Shampoo
IronX

Postroom guy at works going to love me! Also got rear springs for the missus's car, and new wiper blades for that!

Need to go round to the tyre place and get the rear tyres done too, may do that later!

Spend spend spend!

Yes, at the moment perhaps but there will come a time when all the spending will be done and you can enjoy it...

That's the plan! I think I've got everything I need to sort her out. Spent £140ish all in, and that includes the ramps which will be handy for other stuff!

Speculate to accumulate! No point in not spending £30 here and there and having unobtanium parts explode!

I would be quite interested in the ramps you have bought Sam. I have some old ones at the moment, which the XM tyres don't really fit. To wider tyre width.

Where did you get yours?

I bought these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310652401556? ... 1423.l2649

No idea about the width, I hope they do fit! They look pretty wide.

Will have to see when they turn up, I'll let you know. I did favor them because the back is braced. I've heard scare stories on another forum where the ramps split in two due to a lack of lateral bracing.
