Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

No no no no.... NO course it wont. It burns cleaner, AND if you do some research, Rudolph Diesel actually originally designed his engine to run on Peanut Oil!! NOT this DIESEL stuff we use these days!

Russ, their real name - "Oil Burner" --- so, veggie oil in.. car goes .. pocket heavier .. bigger smiles .. cleaner exhaust ..

Yeah I knew about old Otto and his Peanuts, but just wondered if there had been some bad effects ect. Although I have read it is better in cold engines as it is more lubricating than diesel.

Well no excuse now! ;)

sorry, what is meant by SVO? I'd love to go out and find suitable veg.oil but would not have a clue where to buy it. Aren't there many different sorts of veg.oil so what exactly to use?

Straight Veggie Oil.... SVO
Waste Veggie Oil .. WVO ( from chippies etc)

ANY Veggie oil fresh from the shelf of any super market.

Costco do 25 litres for something that makes it about 89ppl...

SVO goes straight in and mixes with Diesels nicely,

WVO needs filtering out to 400 microns to be safe for any crap getting through..

BOSCH PUMP CARS ONLY.. Do NOT use on Lucas or Lucas EPIC pumps!

SVO is straight vegetable oil. Oil from the bottle..off the shelf Jaap. WVO is filtered used veg oil.
You can get veg oil from supermarkets, out Tescos do large 10 litre drums for 10 quid. or food wholesalers like Booker sell large drums. But you need to be a member.
Rape seed is best I think. And that is in veg oil I believe. You can use sunflower too, but generally it is more expensive.
I wouldn't use olive oil!

drat Paul has beaten me to it!!!

Bristol, Birmingham or Coventry for Costco warehouses. Not exactly down the road! We do have a booker though.

Well the 10 litre drums from Tesco works out at £1 a litre. Considerably less than £1.36. Not bad. Asda were usually good.
