I'd be interested in a report of how you get on with this car and the MPG you get.

I should not worry about what you can fit in it.
The speed with which you swap cars these days will it still be with you by CXM?

I hope to have it then! I doubt I will be changing so frequently now.

A full running report will be given, I need to blank the EGR valves off as I have done in the Pugs and see what mpg figures I can get. I am hoping for 40, but time will tell.

Evening Chaps,

Approximately 5 K miles later all is well in the C5 camp. Fuel consumption goes between 36 and 37mpg. It does get driven hard though, so better economy is achievable! Its too hard not to use all those ponies though!

No problems to report either. Citroen have really upped their game with this car. I had a chance to drive a 3.0 HDI C6 a couple of weeks ago at our local CCC rally. The 3.0 HDI is very nice, the extra bit of power was noticeable when the car was really pushed; and I would be interested to see if their increased fuel economy claims are true. It was nice to drive the C6 to be able to compare notes with the C5, and I'm sticking to my guns, that the C5 (in full Exclusive trim) is a better can than the C6.

Good man, hang to it Robert for as long as you can! (so we can buy it off you when it's oldish and you've maintained it to the highest of standards...:)
I've reason to believe you're right though, it's better than the C6!
Enjoy it and drive safely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Regards J+L

I'll give you first refusal Jaap! Are you going to move to NI when you want to buy it as well (for tax purposes of course!)

Are you planning on coming over to this part of the country any time this summer? I have steel wheels for you. Ohh and I recommend you bring Liz and the Captain to the CX, Xm and Xantia rally in September.

Get him to bring his Athena or Xantia V6 over to the CXM. He will love it.
