The Millennium Tortoise (Captain's log)

The place to show off and tell us all about your XMs (or even other cars). Should it be a big project, or just some general pics, start your thread in here.

Very possibly, the A/C condenser dumps a frightening amount of heat on hot day... More than you might realise. Just grab hold of a pipe going the receiver/drier after a long run with the aircon on and see how hot it is..

Just to be happy I'd replace the rad. I see then as almost a service item...

She is finally back from the garage. They have re-gassed the aircon and repaired the wiring from the temp sensor to the fan, which was apparently frayed and so the fans weren't always coming on correctly. Also coolant refilled to correct level.

If there are any further episodes it will be a new rad next, but we'll see how things progress. Hopefully she'll get me and my stuff to Bedford this weekend, anyway.

Excellent news. You can now adorn it with a COTY sticker!
Hope the move goes well.

And with a suitably Gallic shrug, I headed to the kiosk.

Sadly, the time has come to say goodbye to the Tortoise. Up for sale in the relevant bit of the forum. I would keep it, but there is no space and my classic policy won't cover it on-road.
