They grow like Topsy around these parts and as far as I can tell, they're cropping about the normal time for such things and are the fruit of Wimbledon so on that basis alone about right in cropping time. Mine are a bit later than some as they grow in a north-facing garden.

On the MOT, a slight gas leak from the centre section of the exhaust was given as an advisory. I can now just about hear it beginning to blow and so I have made some enquiries for a replacement and have been quoted £176 and £179. That seems rather expensive to me, thoughts?

Look at it and see if it will paste or wrap with Gungum.
That should also give you an idea of which bits are actually needed and time to look around to source them.
In the process of buying a secondhand stainless 2.1 one for £150, someone will link to the other post.
Would pass on this if it was going onto a 2.1 as I was going to cut it up to make it fit a 2.5.

Well the Megane went tonight so that is a weight off my mind. I can now think about getting some of the jobs done on the XM and other cars that have been held back waiting for funds.

I love buying cars, but I do hate the whole process of selling them.

Kwikfit had quoted me about £120 (incl vat) back in May when I put a fresh MOT on my td. Sounds reasonable as the part alone retails at about £90 on ebay.

Depends which area of centre section. The front pipe comes off the manifold to a front box and splits just before the Cross Bridge Frame of the car just under the gear lever, then the middle section is a massive part that goes from that pipe to the rear box and includes the SideWays box, so 176 quid is NOT expensive if that fitted...

HOWEVER, online automotive do the centre section as above for 93.43 quid inc vat... thats supply only.

Thanks for that, Will.

Gave the old girl a wash today, the first one in ages and was quite pleased with the way she has come up. she will be 21 later this month.
