Well, im recovering today after a long day yesterday doing a Jag S type for a customer. It took 11.5 hours from start to finish with 40 mins or so lost when it locked itself with the keys in the ignition and the engine running  It was a R type V6 so I presume cost a few bob new. Another vehicle probably deemed by most to be superior to the xm. Not in my opinion....even the column switches and fixtures and fittings didnt have the quality the xm has....in a car that preceeded it by best part of 10 years ;)

Did the paintwork....west sanded out some big scratches, and restored the faded plastic headlight lenses :)

Here is a quick picture run through of the job....the earnings have paid for a new TV after ours gave up the ghost.....just what we needed after Linda is let go from her job this week

Nice work Vince. I'm attempting something similar with my Saab which has been sat unloved and unused in the resident's car park for a few months now. My skills are rather more humble in that department however!

Quite inspired by your rear arm painting too- I think i'll have a go at that.

Awesome Paul, im glad its getting the top mounts done....they really did need doing before too long ;) I replaced the drivers side rear abs sensor when I had it so perhaps the passenger side one has died?

Ive just bought a new car cover for the xm so I can start stripping out lights etc and leave it stripped if necessary....it will be rain proof then at least ;)

This weekend ive got a beauty to work on......a black 1973 DS.... :D Oh Yeah!!!!! Im looking forward to that job on sunday. Ive also got a guy on who wants his Jag XK8 doing...he contacted me a while back, I didn't see his message in time, so he decided to use someone else, they cocked it up and now he wants me to put it right.... At least its bringing in extra funds :)

Rohan....yes, the 9000 was a very different beast to the 900..... :P Not many early ones around though either so worth cleaning it up some ;)
