For Sale - my S 1.5 XM 2.1 diesel saloon full leather £200

Sold to me by CitroenXM a year and a half a go, it's time to let my XM go. I've loved it, but keeping it in good nick is beyond my limited mechanical skills. I can see where it's doable for someone with plenty of experience and fingers like a pianist, but I have neither.

The big issue is that the head gasket is gone. I have the replacement gasket and a rocker cover gasket, but not the requisite skillz.

Good stuff:

Fairly recent cambelt - the car has only done about 4000 miles in the last year (it ended up being my wifes round-town car most of the time) and Paul had done the cambelt shortly before I bought it.
Engine seems strong. A little smokey under hard acceleration and at startup, but pulls well.
Full black leather interior in good order.

Bad stuff:

Parking ding on left side passenger door(see pics)
Delaminated paint on bonnet
Heater has lost its centre knob (for directing the air where you want it), and currently only blows hot.
Needs at least one electric window and one electric seat switch.
Passenger side mirror has taken a knock. A stick on mirror will sort it, but it needs levering back into its mount properly

Actually i think thats a later S2 colour, slightly lighter colour, more of a red and less of red/brown.

Colin, a Mercedes S160, must be slow! S-class with a 1.6! Must be an A160?

Good luck with the sale SamWise, hopefully someone will have it as a project. Very nice interior

Its a bit good to be bought JUST for the engine! Id sooner buy it back, but its too far away from my unfortunally...

Unless you plan to use the leather too... OH Also PatrickM, that car had a replacment fuel pump on it too, which I had to fit.. so I know the pump is good, but it would be a shame to loose a good car just to a pump.. or would you repair the gasket and sell on??
