An Athena isn't my thing, not enough toys.

Now, if you could do just the roof at a cheap price...

I'll sell you the roof Will, but you will have an Athena underneath it (probably won't be as cheap as you want either!)

Yes Eddie, I am having a bit of a clear out, I have too many cars and not enough time. So everything in the signature is available, except the XM.

Steering this topic vaguely back on topic - an update! ;)

I've heard on the grapevine that this particular car lives very locally, and what's very interesting is that's it's carb fed! :o

Does anyone know how many carb'd XMs are left here - I reckon it's got to be the only one still on the road?!!

Carb fed?! More chance of finding rocking horse poo. If it is now that is rare.

Just found a note on my phone that I made about it when I spotted it the first time - Gxxx YVP.

As it's a carb fed car, that must be very early - bet it's a 1989 car...

Wow  ....really thought all the Carb models were all long gone. It has to be the only one left surely.

I do know of one G plater in the forest. Campbell and I are going to drop in and see the owner at some point. Sorry Neil for dragging our heals on that. We're going to see if it has a headlining for you. Anyway...that will be interesting to see what model that is.

Are there any Carb models known to the CCC?

Giving this topic a bit more info, I spoke to the owner of this car today...

Speaking to the owner he's a really friendly chap and at 74 years young he still loves his XM and has had it for around 13 years! It is indeed a carburettor car (still got the autochoke on it too!) and sounds like it has been maintained very well indeed.

He's possibly thinking of selling it as he doesn't really need two cars nowadays however he's not decided if he definitely wants to part with it yet. Either way, I left him my contact details as it's car that interests me.

So it's definitely a carburettor car, on a G reg in Gold. Apparently it's a May 1990 car so not mega early, however still a rare rare car.

Anyone know of any other carburettor cars out there?

I think I spotted this car on the A140 near Kings' Lynn a few months ago Franklin and ironically I was travelling back from a rally! Regards, Matthew T.
