You can get these pads that heat up I think. You slip them under the seat covering and replaces the old elements.
What I have seen anyway.

The after market pads are carbon fiber elements so do not break like the originals.

Worth it at that price even for ones that are currently working! Replace then before they fail and save yourself a job in the future
