Most annoying morning. A puncture, clear spot where a nail or something pierced the thread of my very good Michelin energy saver :( But just put air in the tyre again and the sidewall has to bobbles, one exactly where mr. Micheling is. It's funny but it's not, once again working just for a new tyre and it wasn't even a pothole:( Never seen that, I stopped immediately when I heard something was wrong.
Worse: the rear jack point collapsed when I changed the tyre on the road side. ARRRRRGHHHHHH and it's not even Friday the 13th..

Oh no Jaap, that is really bad luck. Look out for the third...it might be looming.

Still you were in the best car to have a puncture. See Charles De Gaulle DS for that miracle!

It is true. I once drove my citroen Xantia for miles and miles when someone I knew, behind me, stopped with me when I arrived home. I never noticed I had a rear puncture and that tyre survived that ordeal. Not this time...Having said that, it's the first XM puncture and with the Xantia I had lots more. Bad roads, usually potholes etc. This time it is strange though. And I guess I'll have to get the welder out to fix that jack point.

I assume the jacking point has folded over. They really are useless. You might be able to bend it back if your lucky.

Just one of those things, you must have picked up a screw or something nasty. My Sister drove up to Edinburgh for the fringe a couple of weekends ago, was driving round a roundabout and one of the front tyres blew. Mystery as to how it went. The tyres were in excellent condition too.

Mr. Bibendum didn't do much good, found the last new michelin tyre in Ireland today but that may take a while. The nail was next to the dustcap. Week stuff those michelins..

Most of the welding was inside the sill and behind of which I forgot to make pics.
Shame this whole section was full of waxoil which made it horrible for welding :( because I found it next to impossible to get rid of it all beforehand.

It may not be perfect but nobody will know :) New tyre tomorrow, I'll use a used one which came of a donor car so I'll have more even wear.
