) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

I want to own a S1 now just so I can close the flap on the radio and not see it! Bang a bluetooth headunit in and voila - stealth setup! I like how he didnt even ask his missus/mistriss/mother to move out of the way for the photo's!
What would that be like on fuel with the LPG?

Not as cheap as a diesel or as torquey but I reckon on petrol it must do into the 20's on a run so on LPG it will do low 20's but at a lot lower cost depending on how you source the LPG for it

'Into the 20's'!
Aaahm Ooot! Just about justify 30 in mine! Lovely thing though.
I suppose it's frowned upon to buy a big lpg tank ala for heating and bulk buy the gas and run the car on that?

Frowned upon yes.
A lot still do it though as the price diff is a decent chunk if you do the miles

The mileage is reasonably high and the car would need to be imported as it is still registered abroad and has no MOT now.
The seller seems to be a decent chap. I was interested but from the photo's it has bent over front jacking points.

Actually the PRV V6 on LPG would be as good as a 1.9 XUD...
My V6 SEi is on LPG and old fashioned single point LPG. I would get 44mog equivilent from her! So that WAS DERV economy with V6 blurb too and SEi comforts. (Bear in mind, when I had my V6 on the road the HDi was brand new, so I only had XUD Turbos to compare against..)

Could the jacking points not be pulled back out though and depending where it's resided could be less rust prone than the average uk one so would do well after a good rust treatment all round I reckon.
Oh and LPG delivered to a home tank is about 43p/l....
So if a v6 ran on domestic LPG was getting about 21mpg it would be equivalent to a diesel doing 70mpg-ish....
Not bad going really other than losing some boot space to a tank or fitting some underslung ones if there is space under an xm hatch

Bent flat front jacking points usually mean that all the spot welds are pulled apart.
The individual thin sections then rust rapidly initially around each weld burn area.
The bottom of the hidden but key central plate goes missing after a few years.
Given up on a couple of otherwise good XM's when the extent of the rust became obvious.

Ditto. It's the first thing I check.
