Thats ok till all the hard to source parts cant be found as they are unique and the rads are expensive and also a bit of an engine to work on... id not like to change a starter motor...

True but then its such a much stronger engine
Radiators well, they always fail on any car so i can live with just bypassing the CC and sorting the others when they fail

Will, on the subject of the 2.5 and the XM in general as bits get hard to get and methods have to be found to keep them goinng..
I hate myself for this but it's got to be said...
Where there's a will there's a way...
There, I've said it. Sorry...
Team WFA are already doing much in this direction for Activa and V6 specific things...

Ha ha! I am tempted with another 2.5 once the xantia is gone as it just needs an engine mount fixing but has ac and leather and another one needs some work doing as well so I'd be very happy if I got a good few of them back on the path

I dont think it is any stronger. I think they are about the same, and 2.5s DO suffer crown cracking just the same as 2.1s cankingp wrote:True but then its such a much stronger engine

I mean stronger as in on the road pulling and cruising. It's very well balanced low down though

Well. it sis stop raining for about a couple of hours today..
Cleaned up the metal bumper re-enforcer panel cleaned the loose rust off, KuRusted it, and then after that gone off applied spray under seal to it..

Also while I had the under seal spray applied it to the subframe too.. (Forgot to pic that bit )

ALL Back together now.. light, horn and general check over has everything working.
Just need to see to the exhaust joint and make sure they are pressed in together properly and we can possibly see to an MOT.. OH and fit a single spoke steering wheel...
