Describing an Audi TT as sterile is rather accurate Russ

I think I might be tempted by a V6 Xantia. Thinking about my disquiet at driving Chris's TDI the other day, I think there were two issues other than the pedals seeming to be close together that caused my unease: the brakes were incredibly sharp (like my first experience of a CX

) and the steering wheel was set low for my big thighs.
I do like V6 cars and I really, really regret selling the XM I had with cream leather

but I have to say that when I owned a C5 V6 for a while we just didn't bond. Perhaps I expected too much but that manky steering wheel and the compulsory tyre pressure sensor warning lights hacked me off.
Must stop thinking about cars I would like to own...

Rob

There's a potentially good V6 Xantia for sale near your neck of the woods at the moment Rob. Have a look on the FCF and a member called Superloopy...
A good V6 Xantia is quite a joyful thing really but a V6 XM is even more joyful in my humble..

Gosh that does look to be a good deal! And close!
If I wasn't so attached to the XM I would be there, I think. Unfortunately, I just can't add to the current crop of vehicles - there isn't anywhere to put another one and four lots of MOT, tax, insurance, maintenance etc is stretching the resources already.
The only thing that has seriously tempted me to part with MOReen was the late silver V6 that changed hands again in the summer. I have come close to buying that car on about three occasions over the last few years but have baulked at the price and logistics involved. What I need to find is someone with a fabulously cared for V6 Exclusive who wants to change to a more economical version...

Oh gosh no Rob. Sorry!
I was going to SORN her over winter but what I thought was the final long trip of the year changed all that. the XM stays on the road for long trips and it's the Activa that's getting SORN'd...

I seriously need to drive a Xantia V6 and an XM V6 now soon. I cannot imagine the Xantia winning from the XM but nothing surprises me anymore:) I secretly want an XM v6 now but can't afford to swap the diesel for one.
