I got one from a Peugeot parts website. Parry jones I think..Exactly the same as the XM of course and for about £10.

Rusty,

The replacement 'Hydraulic Fluid Level Indicator' is still listed as available, pt.no. 96 062 474. There's not much to go wrong with it: it's a simple float-in-a-tube assembly, probably seized/dirtied.

On my car, with suspension at Normal height (engine running), correct fluid level is 11cm below the rim/top edge of the reservoir filler neck - if that helps.

Sorry my mistake I got my dipstick from Guy Perry.co.uk. My local citroen dealer couldn't identify a dipstick or oil level indicator on their system at all. Shows how useful they are.... ;)

Same here russ, tried to get one at citroen today, nothing came up.

Try a Peugeot 605.
