Moving to UK with work, anyone interested in my Xm?

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Moving to UK with work, anyone interested in my Xm?

Post by silverspider » Tue Apr 01, 2014 6:20 pm

Hello!
Moving to UK this summer with work and i want to sell my car for parts.
The car is a 2.1 Turbo, 2000 year of birth, LHD, fully reconditioned by me one year ago. I have rare spare parts like front struts in good condition and other parts from suspension and hydraulics.
You can see the car here: http://www.clubcitroen.ro/forum/about18681.html

The car is fitted with a HDI gearbox with hydraulic clutch, has Xenon and other improvements.
Hydractive works perfectly, new spheres added, new clutch, new distribution and a lot of new parts were added during the process of reconditioning.

I am thinking of 800 euro or 660 GBP (including a lot of spare parts).

Anyone interested can contact me via email (razvan.379 at gmail dot com) or here.
Hope someone wants it because it will be a pleasure to drive it to England :)

It is LHD and i don't have the same passion for this car as i had some time ago.
Here in Roumania i have to pay expensive taxes for the 2.1 engine.
For me, now, any car is good as it takes me where i need to go.

I forgo i have a topic on this forum too. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4276

I invested a lot of money in this car but i am not sorry because it was fun for me to take it apart and put it back :)

Looks a very nice car and a manual late 2.1 is almost unheard of, your car would sell very well in Spain or even France but hopefully someone on hear will take a fancy to it.

Driving LHD car in the UK is not really a problem and you can drive it legally for 6 months in the UK on its Romanian registration (but it must have insurance), So even if no one wants it, you could get a few months use at low cost, and then sell it for parts.

It would be tempting for Paul maybe as it would give him all the bits he needs for his HDi conversion bar the engine part which i think he already has. But £660 is a bargain for such a car!

Might be best to put it on UK ebay and drive it over here as it will help you bring some stuff over and more than pay for it self i reckon.

The problem bringing the car is that the trip will cost me at least 400 GBP and i don't want to loose that much money if no one will buy the car. The plain costs only 75GBP.
I want to know for sure if someone wants it. It's not only about the money, i would like to do the trip too and i want to give this car to someone who is really passionate about Xm because i still have feelings for her :) and i invested a lot of money (2500 euro) in parts to
recondition the car, i want someone to benefit from my work.

IS the funny little radiator thing in some of the pictures for cooling the engine oil or something else?

Just looked through the thread and its had a very thorough rebuild so well worth that money IMO.
