Tailblazer on ebay

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

It doesn't seem to match the patterning and colouration of the adjacent light units but I understand why
it's there making the whole panel appear all in one but recessed for the numberplate. I do still prefer
the body colour on the normal tailgate mind. It's quite nice to see it when there's not much of it on show,
every little bit helps:

It doesn't looks as bad as I thought 'shopped' onto the silver car so guess I could be persuaded to bid:

It matches the light units quite well but my photo's dont seem to show it as well as your shopped ones do Andrew, mine show it as being too orange, it does look good on the silver one of yours though probably because the red band stands out more than on a darker coloured model.

Hi ,Andrew,
I'm not a real fan of Tailblazers, but after you had 'Shopped' it on in the above Photo it changed my my mind as I thought it would go nicely with my Silver 2.5 TD Exclusive (On Sorn) which I also own !
So did you get this then ? If so you beat me to it in the dying seconds of the Auction !
If not well done to the person that got it

Andrew you have me as a solid 100% supporter of Manuals with a Hydraulic Clutch and foot operated 'Handbrake' is the best choice/option (If your lucky enough to find a decent one now) :D

Not me though I did think about bidding for it eventually though I totally forgot all about it.
I cannot really see what an 1" extra frame of red reflector really makes that much of a difference
but having had a play about with the picture in photoshop I can see it has it's attractions.

For the finished price you cannot really complain if you buy to try and then don't get on with it
- I've seen these go for massive chunks more dosh than this (sorry, not sating the right things here
am I XMX!?). There'll be another one along and I'm sure it'll get mentioned on here so there will
be another time and place.

Great to see someone else who likes manuals! You're in a minority here it seems! :?

Ah well never mind, I still have my TWO 2.5 TD's which more than make up for a bit of red plastic
When I was at the CXM meeting I did ask someone if they knew if you were in attendance and you were pointed out to me, but each time I tried to go and introduce myself to you, you seem to be in dialogue with someone so i didn't interrupt you, hopefully another time :!:

Hi Andrew

The trailblazer was one of the official accessories for the original launch XM.
A must have if you own a showroom condition 1989 XM.

T'wasn't me!! I couldn't make it to the rally and on reflection I wish I'd made the time to go now.

Bet you're thinking about citroenxm Paul?

I really fancy going next year seems to be the mantra I've heard a lot of guys say in the past few
weeks both here and on FCF and it does look like a great opportunity to put faces to names with
fellow enthusiasts with whom we all tend to spend many hours in the week chatting about
everything and anything!!

The 2.5's have been a real eye opener for me in the past year and has done more than any other
engine to make me mellow my attitude to diesels - I've always preferred big engined big petrol
Citroens though the CX DTR2 is a fab engine (when it's working) especially when fitted to a Safari
bodyshell.

You're right John, I now recall the trailblazer and "challenging" bodykit featured in the original
Accessiore leaflet! I've seen them in the past and for other Citroen models too. Difficult task to
improve on perfection mind...

A while ago there was a seller on french ebay who sold original ones -bought one but still in box- but he's out of stock now. Still lists them for auction but when u ask he informs u "out of stock for the XM".

I've got it, it's all Andmcit's fault. I thought it looked good on the silver XM he PS'ed and I just recently bought a silver manual turbo. I'll post a picture alongside the SM once its fitted.
