No idea, but I was back there today and it wasn't there but two more cars were in its place, it must be a dropping off point for the scrapyard so it must be in the yard somewhere now.
Wonder if it belonged to anyone on here.

The number on the rear wing looks like a salvage auction number. It looks a nice car.

Bill Bridges establishment off the A23 at Pease Pottage is vast, and has survived the closure of most of the other breakers' yards in the region. Used to visit it regularly (when we lived in Horsham-Billingshurst). Does here anyone visit the place?

Me! I'm a regular visitor, I think it's probably the best scrapyard I've been to. Probably the reason it's survived is because it's one of the few that still allow you to walk around taking what you need off the cars.
They do seem to have a very erratic pricing structure though, and it can vary wildly depending on whoever you speak to, a couple of the younger lads seem to place unrealistic value on some parts and would rather scrap them than negotiate a lower price, at all . Some items are dirt cheap and others are ridiculously overpriced.

As I remember, the guys are self-employed, and as such are free to make ends meet however they can - hence the widely varying pricing. Impressively organised, though!

Really, that's interesting. How is that meant to work? They always put the money in the till and give me a receipt.
If it was in their interests to sell as many parts as they can individually then it would stand to reason that they should try to sell the part at a lower price than not at all.

I long since gave up trying to understand how certain businesses work - including scrapyards, dodgy taxi companies, and the like. Maybe a minimum price operates, and anything over that is to the individual's benefit.
Once upon a time there was a "pre-war and 50s" corner at Bill Bridges, with a few Rover P2s and P3s, and an Armstrong Siddeley or two. Long gone, I'm sure.
