Wanted Bosch fuel pump for 2.1 td. K reg

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Thankfully I never had this problem on either of my other xm's.. Is it quite common fault? I did read on the forum another thread which showed someone experience a similar problem

General shit in the pump .. I recovered a 2.1 td xm that had sat in a shed covered up for 6 years. It ran well and went like hell... however after 6 years of not running at all I got her going and then the pump developed a leak.. took it off and changed it for a spare and sent the other to a mate. He opened it up to find it completely blocked up to the hills. Suprised it ran..

Yes I said spare but sorry.. I need to keep it. They are as I said like hens gold teeth... sorry.

You might need to bite the bullet and have yours removed and overhauled. Thought I could supply you a Lucas mechanical pump and injector setup to get you by while your bosch is being sorted. Got two of those but prefer the bosch.

Which seal is leaking?

I have just done a partial in situ re seal on mine (top hat seal and throttle arm seal) (the two most common ones).

No real issues with fitting a 1.9 pump either, might just have to mess about setting it up.

I have now had two seals replaced and asked them to refit without recon. Fingers crossed this will stop the leak. No guarantees tho.
Reconditioning cost of £575 plus vat, and thats before removal and refit, I simply can't afford it at the moment. I wonder if this is why the car was stood unused for so long.
