Little did I know when I put Goldie to bed after the Northern that that would be the last I would see of her for at least five weeks. Since then some serious family problems, far too intense to detail on a public forum, have taken up any spare time swmbo and myself may have had. The situation is not good and is unlikely to get any better over the next few months, save to say that impending holidays have been cancelled and plans to increase the fleet have been shelved. I was really interested in the G plater advertised on here but that won't be happening. There were also two other Citroen's, two Volvo's and a Rover but my interest in them has had to be ended. Even worse is that my trusty old Xantia has been neglected and is in need of some tlc at the very least. She may need some work but I can't get chance to look.
I had every intention of dropping the rear subframe and wheel carrier on the XM in order to check all the pipework and underseal her properly but that will not be happening. I had planned to MOT her mid year but that's highly unlikely and the cosmetic bits may or may not get done. She's safe where she is - but that's not the point of owning her.
I was hoping the National would be a nice relaxing weekend away but who knows now, and as for the CXM (or whatever it's called), that's a long, long way away.
In the midst of all this, I have had so much work on it's been unreal - at times unable to cope, and my dear lady wife has finally been made redundant. The timing couldn't have been better.
