Oil and filter changed, air filter changed, ATF changed and filter cleaned, brakes checked and passed fit for service and even the undertray refitted after 18 months in my shed. Even the electrical gremils are in hiding tonight...

If all goes well, then I might test the market, I rather fancy another V6... Common sense, however, tells me that it won't get much better than this.
It's usually a pleasure to work on an XM Rob :)

I've been on the lookout for another one for a while but keep putting myself off :?

I suppose it was really! :)

I really don't like the hassle of selling a car; it seems to make one vulnerable to every low life "expert" in the universe. This chap was ok to deal with though he really didn't seem to appreciate the quality of what he was getting other than he wanted a smart little car to get him to and from work while he was saving up to buy a "nice" car - oh well!

Also he had never driven an automatic, but he made up his mind quite quickly and handed over the cash with barely a whimper! I suppose it does mean that I had priced it about right, but I think it is more down to the random chance that there is a buyer out there that you happen to catch at the right moment.

A well presented and obviously sound car will usually find a buyer. There is a lot of dross out there.
