My buyer for it thinks £500 is a bit cheap, so no thanks, but if you want to see a fully restored Allard newly re-chromed and re-sprayed, it will be with me for a few more weeks. Now everything has been done it is a really super car, but like all my old cars I've run out of enthusiasm for them (apart from my SM).

I'd love to see it - the Allard in my family is rather more of a jigsaw puzzle - no flatheads with it, just a straight six with a supercharger and aquaplane head.

Then pop in! Remind me of your Allard - is it a Palm Beach?

Back to car, terms agreed with Paul, who will be getting it back at the XM rally next week.
