Now that looks nice, and assuming that everything is perfect, the right sort of price, too. The (presumably) new registration plates, I think, are all part of the finishing touch: hard to smarten up originals.

I see that the listing ended on 20th November (Not sold) and now the seller has RE-LISTED for £1995 !

And I bought it in January! I'm a former XM owner, having had a series 1 2.0i auto in 2001.

It is very good, everything works, with just one exception........ I think in testing the full range of the climate control I may have made one of the servos stick, which is why changing the temperature has no real effect and stays pretty much around 24 degrees or so.... I tested it all before buying it and all the way home from Norfolk to high Wycombe and it worked well, it just decided to keep heating the interior on a recent trip to Dover. A judicious blow to the driver's side of the climate control panel reduced the heat coming out of the vents. A little... I haven't fully checked out the roof console sensor - could it be that, or is just going to be one of the three servos?

The cruise took about 30 minutes to decide to work from the first time, but now works perfectly every time. I will be replacing the tyres, as they are all flatspotted from standing during the last months of previous ownership.
