) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Its ok................I'm awake

the mk1 cables rarely fail to be fair, I think they were thicker or had a different mech but better be prepared since your going in anyway.

Cables are the same, just the Mk2 winder replaced a quality plastic guide wheel with a tight right angle pressed steel guide channel.
Adds abrading wear to the rusting with age of the original cable.
Roys replacement cables are high quality stainless.

Yes the kit looks excellent quality. I just wanted to be prepared so that if there were more problems than just the broken guide I could do it all in one hit.
I will be removing all the door cards and giving everything a good clean and lube. Predictably all the working windows are very slow and stiff. I shall treat the sunroof likewise.

Bought an aftermarket unit for £20. I am going to strip the dash to put in a set of working bulbs and a (hopefully) working RH display. I will look to wire up the new receiver at the same time. Thanks for the tip on the location. Not where it was on the old CX then!
PS thanks for the lock guide. Now printed off and ready to head into the garage for reference.
