Remote plipper and receiver wanted

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Remote plipper and receiver wanted

Post by Regdorpten » Sun Nov 01, 2009 7:12 pm

OK...this is a long shot but I don't suppose anybody has a spare remote plipper and receiver set they want to sell? RF style (receiver under glovebox) for an S2.

My plipper's shot and I've just given up trying to fit an aftermarket kit (though thanks to all who offered support and advice).

Hi Matt

I will look through my odds and ends. May have a spare matched plip and receiver.
Will need to check out anything I find but have a car I can do this in.
Not sure about the condition of the plip rubber buttons as I tend to move the good ones to the working sets.
There is a chance I should be able to make your aftermarket set work as well.
With the aftermarket set-up I did I used a Citroen receiver type plug so it could be plugged into any Mk2 XM rather than hard wired into a single vehicle.
Will see if I can find those bits as well.
PM me if you want me to try to help.

John

Hi John, the rubbers on my plipper are OK, so I could just switch them if you have a suitable replacement (that way I can keep the correct blade for the car and not have to carry 2 keys - want to plip and the other to start the engine!) I appreciate your time on this. Matt
