ABS sensor be quick!

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

At that price I almost bought it myself! And I don't need one and it wouldn't fit my car!!!

Classic case of a seller who didn't know the value of his item.

I thought that the sensors with green connector plug were for early bendix system - whereas the part number and description is for the later 'blue' sensor system - so i think the picture is wrong.

Well, it was me who bought it, I will find out one way or another if it is the correct part.

And thanks for the tip-off.

A Bendix front sensor is Hella part no. 6PU 009 106-121.
Advert description is for a Teves sensor, picture for a Bendix rear sensor.

Be interesting to hear what actually gets delivered.

The part that arrived is Hella 6PU 009 106-131, which as far as I can tell is the correct Teves rear sensor, so no complaints from me!
It does have a green connector, but maybe that is a Hella thing?

Check the resistance of the sensor.
All later XM Bendix sensors are 2.6k ohms which a Teves ECU is likely to reject as out of range.
Citroen green and blue plugs have different position polarisation slots.
Slot needs removing to plug blue into green.
Teves sensor head is plug in and bolt down.
Bendix sensor head has distance adjuster rod and lock nut as well as fixing bolt.
The Hella catalogue I checked only lists ABS sensors for early (Bendix) XM's.

OK, from your description, this is a Bendix sensor. It has 2.6k resistance and the distance adjuster. What Hella part number do you have for a Bendix rear sensor?

If its a bendix you shouldnt complain either, they are tricky to get hold of and expensive when you do, from past experience. Someone will take that off you, and if they dont i will.
