Yes, it will be a Lucas DPC pump, which in itself won't make any difference to a runaway.

After a look over and diagnostic of the old school type (NOTHING a lexia can do on these) i firstly checked the oil and it was to the mark.. i started the car.. took a while to start but when it did she ran fine.

My conclusion is i think something stuck in the pump causing an over fuel.

So in light.. i am swapping the pump and injectors for another set from the old sed 2.1 ive just stripped. I know the pump is good on that. This gives piece of mind all round.

Check the drivers mat isn't jamming the accelerator pedal...

I think its something in the pump.. defo not the throttle cable or pedal. They are both free and at rest..

Air can make these pumps do strange things. It's interesting you said it took a while to start.

No its getting a swap will . It idles like shit now.. not very smoothly. And smoke!! The yard fills with unburnt fuel.. greyish white.. so i think a whole good fuel system do the world of good!
