Front towing eye cover: Series 1

Did anything ever come of this? I need a towing eye cover for a series 1 too!

Hi Ray, nope this has all gone pretty quiet

I have a lovely shiny towing eye cover sat in my garage, sprayed a version of EWT white (the car already has all three shades on it so what the hell!).

I fear there is more cost than demand.

I am happy to consider all options. I understand that getting parts 3D scanned is not cheap unless you know otherwise. I have approached a nice man about making a mould be he quoted (without seeing the part) about £250 plus the manufacture. This makes unit costs rather high unless I stump up a load of dosh up front and be the worlds leading (sole?) supplier of S1 towing eye covers!!!!!

Any suggestions welcome.

There was a mention of 3D printing limitations due to shape etc, did anybody see the edition of Wheeler Dealers were they made a new headlight for the veteran car? That was made using a 3D printer?

One suggestion I have is you sell me the spare towing eye cover

I will be in UK after 20.11.15 I will try to find front towing eye cover from scrap yard here in Bulgaria.
