I have a set of four 15" series 2 Monte Carlo (Spider) wheels that need a new home. None of them have tyres. Open to offers.
Located near Glasgow.
Thanks for looking.

Hi mate,
I'm after a set of alloys for my S2 XM. Could you please post a photo of them?

I'll try and get a pic of them. Don't mean to disappoint but perhaps not in best condition I'm afraid. They could do with a wee tidy.

Re: Monte Carlo (Spider) Wheels
If you look through the forum posts on wheels you will see a number of comments about the XM Monte Carlo wheels.
They are centreless 5 bolthole wheels, and this requires an expensive special balancing tool.
Very few tyre places have the balancing tool but some still attempt to balance.
This leads to cost or vibration problems.
Most other XM wheels do not suffer in this way so are more popular options.
Only those true to original spec Mk 2 XM enthusiasts tend to stick with the Monte Carlos.

Re: Monte Carlo (Spider) Wheels
When i bought a set i took them to be refurbished which cost me about £60 a wheel there is a post somewhere the i had them shod with michelin energy savers fitted by Kwik fit who have a mobile fitter who had the 5th stud for the balancing machine, all done in less than a hour.

Re: Monte Carlo (Spider) Wheels
I managed to find a few garages that had the balancing tool for center-less wheels.
