The saga continues!
Tried the new wiper stalk in the car and I now have washers front and back.

Except it's not a happy ending!

I fitted the pump back into the tank, fastened it all back up, put a bit of water in the tank . . . and it leaked

Took the tank back out and removed the washer and seal to find the seal torn and very brittle. Tried gluing it back together, put it and the pump back in with no joy . . . still leaking
According to Citroen and a local Peugeot parts guy there is only one seal that connects the washer pump to the tank. Having tried this seal it is smaller and allows water out of the tank. According to Service Citroen there is a change of seal at RP4906 and seals after this needed a rubber washer between pump and tank. Everyone has the later seal but no-one has the rubber washer or the earlier seal. Either way round would do but, at the moment I'm stuck for two pieces of rubber.
Mine does not have the rubber washer between pump and tank as it's earlier than RP4906 but all I need is to stop the water from escaping from the tank in order to take it for a test - so tbh I couldn't give a flying f . . . how it seals. If I use brand new seals can they be heated up to form a perfect seal between pump and tank?

the headlining is ready to be covered.
Courtesy light raised
New grab handle indents and the section behind the sun visors raised
New section created to allow drop from courtesy light into the sunroof
New lips created into sunroof opening
All I need is two pieces of rubber and I can take it for a test, then I can take the car to the trimmer so he can verify and match the sunroof slider to the headlining, fit the bloody thing and I'm done. I suppose these things are set to try us.
