As I have said before, this is largely original paintwork apart from front and rear bumpers, a corner of the ar near side wing and the nose cone. Fitting new lights front and rear together with new indicators etc has kept it fresh. The wheels have never been refurbished and are very good thanks to being new in 1999 and regular cleaning. The leather has been fed at least four times a year over the past 20 odd years. Granted, the car has never been left outside and was dry stored from around 2001 til very recently but it remains and looks like a one year old car. It has aged better than me. I was in my early 30's when I bought it and am now coming up to 56.
Out of interest, webuyanycar.com valued it at £75.
Ha ha.

Absolutely stunning Brad!
You gotta laugh at webuyanycar.com, but hey at least they offered you £25 more than they did me for a Series 1 SEI, I often put in vehicles just to have a giggle at the offers!

^ I was going to offer £76 for it, so can see we have a Southerner with deep pockets in the running....I'm Out.!
That car looks remarkable for the age and mileage. Well worth putting it back on the road.
It's impressively fast for a 2.0i as well.

On the websites I have seen Mercury Grey is also listed as Silex/Silicone Grey with the same paint code of ETW. The change of name appears to have occurred in 1992. That certainly does look like a nice example of the model Brad and keep up the good work! Regards, Matthew T.

After 21 years of ownership, I am considering selling my car due to my health. My family have no interest in XMs so I think it best to let it go.
Since 1999 it has covered around 3000 miles and been in a heated, dried garage. I drove it over 170 miles yesterday to test it out. It's never been welded as it's been kept so dry. Also, I've squirted fresh engine oil into the sills regularly since 1996. I shall take some up to date pictures today and see if anyone is interested. The original single spoke wheel is now refitted and the car will come with some valuable spares. The buyer must have a dry garage to preserve this car properly, please. Oh, it's MoT'd til the end of April, I think.
And the original plate K39 EYM will be with the car, not J1 LMB.
