Thanks for all your congratulations.

I am not sure what to do with the car, although it obviously won't be getting cubed now as it passed it's MOT.
I will have a think as to whether to continue or sell. I will start another post for help with the turbo clamp.

Fix it and carry on driving it. You've done all the hard work and cost items and all 2nd hand cars have faults to fix.

Still for sale as I'm not sure I like it enough to spend money taking the engine out to change the turbo.

I live closeish to the Citroen event at the weekend. I am not going to the even as I'm getting married the day after. Come and collect it from Cambridge all this week or The Bridge Hotel, Huntingdon on Friday (close to event).

Thanks Dean and Matthew. I have asked xantiav6 if he would update his post on FCF to include the new MOT, as I am not a member there.

I do enjoy Autoshite's eBay tat thread so may join to add the XM on there, good idea.

Is the consensus definitely that it is impossible to change the turbo in-situ on a 2.1 and that the engine has to come out? I suppose while it is out it would be prudent to change the head gasket. Anything else down the back? Water pipes, oil seals?

Back on the road care of Latvian turbo! Boosts properly and smoothly again. Just gotta get its newly acquired dent removed!

Bets on what catastrophically blows up next on this one?

Not for sale for now. Looking forward to commuting in it from tomorrow to se how new turbo behaves.
