2.1 td XM breaking by Ken Newbold -this weekend

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Xm&Bx'er Ken Newbold asked if I could post this link here on his behalf, describing a M reg 2.1td estate being broken this weekend - last week july 2016 - . (He has login difficulties, so perhaps reply on the fcf site if you want to contact him)

Hi

I have tried to reply in French Forum having just joined but my account cannot be activated until an administrator authorises it. Could you confirm as it is M reg whether it is series 1 or series 2.
I am looking for a few parts for series 1

1)The drivers side ABS cable if it is series 1 it should have a green connector
2) Drivers side heated complete mirror assembly (I have spare mirror glass So no probs if mirror not good.
3)

3) The curved plastic panel that fits on the drivers side which joins the wing mirror to the panel that goes across under the wind screen.

Please let me know the price for the items above

Thanks and Regards

Keith

Your car was built 28 May 1993 so will be a Series 1.

The model designation is an easy givaway;
No trim level is series 1 -Base, S, is series 1 - Middle, SE is series1 top level.
SX is series 2 - Base, VSX is series 2 - middle, Exclusive is series 2 Top trim level.

This was the car we were breaking, some of it is still around, I know the nose cone is and mirrors, checking the ABS sensors tomorrow.

That looks like a hatch?

What was the colour code of this car? I presume the shell has gone now?

No idea what the code was, now it's gone but we have an estate to break in 2 weeks time, I can get the code off that.

I need a rubber window trim off a NSF door. Do you have one?

I would be very interested in the Windscreen surround trim (A pillars and Roof ) for a XM 1994 series 2 ESTATE and the drivers side door mirror/scuttle trim [sort of triangular shaped piece of plastic] as all these parts came off my car on the motorway and were not retrievable.

Many Thanks

Regards

Marc
