I hope so Matthew; the good thing is I've now found storage for my TD, so it's not an immediate pressure anymore to have this V6 moved -although it has to.

Now happily re-homed in Lancashire! Fab journey south and total interest / bemusement all day from people while getting MOT sorted. I hope to be fully road legal next weekend, next challenge will be the exhaust manifold job, looks tricky but possible in situ, will update.

Many thanks to you for taking her -as much as I loved that car, eventually I had to admit I wouldn't have the time it demanded anytime soon!
I'll try to help as much as I can with car's history, whenever needed; any question, drop me en email in case I'm not on the forum. Will write you a couple of things to note in the next few days.
When you're on the manifolds, check also that *they* are not cracked -it's the bolts most times, but the manifolds themselves can crack too. The spare one I gave you could come handy if so
ES9 -hopefully this will be dealt with in summer 2017

It was good to hear you have found a suitable home for the car George and well done Andy for taking her on! It will be good to hear how matters proceed and I am sure we will give every possible assistance where required. The S1 V6 is a great car the ultimate XM and now increasingly rare. I have removed and refitted several PRV engines and replaced both manifolds insitu! That is good advice from George about checking the manifolds for cracks. With regards, Matthew T.
