Hi all
Congratulations for getting that.
I think I can see in the photos that there are 2 identical hydraulic pressure measurement kits, I recognise this because my indy has similar.
No need to say that if one goes spare, I want it!
Above all though, I'd like to discuss at some point of time what's the procedure for measuring a pressure regulator with 2 outlets -the type that fits cars using a flow distribution valve i.e. all XMs with simple (DIRASS) steering assistance before the event of the 2+5 hydraulic pump.
This is a detail I have never found documents for, and it's *so* critical when owning such an XM -even if you correctly refurb your FDV, if this is not right then u r digging a whole in the water.
Dean, I remember you started tooling up for measuring this, but not sure of the outcome of your efforts.
My indy's kit was from the age of the CX-GS and didn't include details of how to measure such a pressure regulator. Only had instructions for measuring a simple 1-outlet p.r. (like on DIRAVI XMs, BXs etc.
Let's hope this bit (looks more modern than my indy's) includes this additional bit of info in its manual.
Cheers
George
