Working sunroof cassette WANTED

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

The wrapping idea won't work. Once the roof has been open and closed a few times the wrap won't seal to the roof and water will get into the cassette again.
As djg said, the cassette has drains.
There are two issues causing common leakage;
1. The glass bond fails so water leaks under the glass.
2. The cover over the drive cables sealant fails so water is allowed into the cable area and due to the drive gear projecting upwards from underneath, it then runs down into the motor area and into the lighting console.

I suspect this is what also leads to drive cable rusting and failure.

The design is poor.

The outer edge of the seal is designed to allow water through to the channels, in my experience it's the inner edge of the seal on the glass that leaks allowing water to the inside of the car.

The sunroof will probably not open but not many do, I'd rather have a sealed shut but non leaking sunroof...
