Hi,
I hope someone can help me! I need a turbo vacuum control solenoid valve for a MK 1.5 1993 2.0i turbo. It's the one attached to the scuttle panel slightly left of centre.
The part number is 1621 73.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Chris

Thanks dieselman for the heads up on that. Would you know what years I'm looking at with the PSA part? I forgot to add my latest thoughts to my original post before placing this Wanted post, I'll go back and do that now!
Thanks again,
Chris

Thanks for that, I've been looking at every variation of the XU/XUD turbo theme. I'll keep looking.
Meanwhile it never rains but it pours! I'll be putting a new parts request on here now.

Re: *WANTED* Turbo Solenoid Valve for 2.0 TurboCT MK1.5
I ended up by an eBay flook with a spare VAG N75 valve which I could investigate. These are identical to our turbo solenoid valves and can be reconfigured for our cars. The coil can be rotated by 90 degrees in the metal frame by cutting out the locating tab mouled on the coil. The vacuum "T" can be popped out and refitted to our orientation with superglue. This then only leaves the mounting. In our cars it is a 2 bolt fixing via rubber insulation studs whereas the N75 only has a single tab. I cut the mounting out of the metal frame of the old valve which left me just with a bar with the mounting holes at each end. I drilled this at the centre and drilled the tab of the N75 and bolted these together. I then mounted this on the original studs on the scuttle and everything fitted as before. The N75 uses the same electrical connector.
The car drives fine so I'm closing this now, as a matter of interest if anybody is interested in these just try Googling VAG N75, there's loads out there about them.
