Y4 side lights (indicators?)

Hello,

I am trying to help my Dad keep his beloved XM on the road. We are looking for the front right side-light (indicator?) for a 1995 Y4 Hatchback (LHD, if it makes a difference); they look like this:

I have failed to find any new ones; would people have any suggestions?

A seller on ebay is suggesting that the Y3 part fits "later models" too, is that true?

Y4 front side lights have part numbers 96.168.249 & 96.168.248.
For Y3 it is interesting. First lights ##95.637.415 and 95.637.414 were used, but after RP 5875 they became same as Y4 ones.
So, there is a big likelihood that Y3 parts that the seller is selling are exaclty the same as used for Y4. I don't know what is the difference between them.
Also, there is no difference between LHD and RHD indicators, same parts are used.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Earlier and later sidelamps are interchangeable, but are made slightly differently. Without checking one against another they appear very slightly different on reflectivity and lens.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Y4 models, both LHD and RHD, are using front indicators 96.168.249 (jeft) and 96.168.248 (right).

Theres a pair of virtually new ones on fb for 110 quid posted, they are on offer by a fellow club xm forum member.. if it saves import tax etc

Just to be clear - on an XM, these sidelights are parking lights only - no blinking function!!!

The similar looking part on a Xantia is an indicator, which certainly confused me initially...

Hi.

Just noticed that a well known XM shop in Poland has started selling these. Price is 100€ per restored item, plus post etc. Pricey, but it is a unicorn part.

This company sells 3d printed lenses and you can buy new reflectors also. The finish looks to be on the rough side, but surely they beat the old ones.
