Glove box lid

Prompted by pics of the V6 24 I have posted, I wondered if anyone knew if a) The glove box lids on S2 cars were all the same fit and b) Is the wood trimmed version rare (and if I could get one ) interchangeable with the 'normal' one?

Hi Phil,

The lids will be the same fit. The only difference is the wood trim insert at the bottom edge of the box.

Wood trimmed lids are rare enough, good luck in finding one!

The UK glove box and lid changed during the 1997 model year.
Minature box by windscreen and passenger air bag in main area.
Wood trim to Mk2 full lid was never available in the UK.
My brochure collection suggests that the all trim exclusives were mainly targeted on the Italian market.
If buying SH trim bear in mind that there were at least 3 different woods/finishes used during the production run.

I forgot about twin airbags, I've just never had one that had twin airbags before.

Interesting. It looks like the glovebox lid trim isn't handed although the lid is, I think. Oh well.
