As the sensors are just hall effect coils, I'm dubious about them breaking down at all, possible, but fairly unlikely due to no moving parts or excessive heat.

If anyone has a duff sensor and is prepared to cut the lead and measure it might reveal all.

Mine turned out to be a break in the lead length but it was too close to the sensor to save unfortunatly, only had the one pack up in the 19years of its life though (touches wood)

Then back on Ebay for three grand.

They go for low mileage ones don't they.

Not that far from them either.

My first XM was a manual TCT, it was really quick. Much faster than the auto's I've had since (although I suspect that the previous owner may have been messing with the turbo control.....it really was fast).

Now if it was an estate, manual and diesel ....

It would be boring.
So buy this one and have some fun Peter

It's the same year as my estate and it has the teves ab system fitted and the front sensors are not expensive from citroen the rears i dont know about but without the vin no cant tell.

Stick your 2.1 TD lump from your mangled estate into that car. It should have a great shell and running gear
