and i cam vouch for the 45mpg too... i collected a 2.1td manual recently from brislol.. i pit 35 quid in at 1.39 iirc and got home.. i did not drive lightly i did 70 to 80mph motorway and dual carrageway most of the way and she managed 43mpg... i was mighty impressed and the in gear pull at 60 to 80 in the manual is stunning over the auto.. they are completely different kettles of fish... my td is mechnically identical to roberts stunning cars....
