Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

I love the colour variation of XMs. I'm always surprised when I see yet another XM colour I haven't known about previously.
citroenmad wrote:I like Olympic blue but yes, it does date the car, its also a very rare colour, in fact im not even sure if I have seen a UK XM in the metal with olympic blue paint.

Is sable the colour of Matthew T's 12v V6 manual? That is a superb colour for an XM 8-)
The correct colour/name is 'Champagne' if you care to check out the guide in THIS thread ;)

Hmmm, one on the v6's I'd practically forgotten about as it was at the back of
the barn I've just emptied is a manual Si. No plans to sell it but this talk of colours
has got me keener to get it up and running again as it is the Champagne metallic
which does look gorgeous and seems to emphasise the Xm's lines.

In the right light, the Mandarin red is quite special too with the metallic flake
having a real depth to it. Certainly not doom maroon!

I agree with Andrew that both champagne and mandarin are nice colours (see below). Regards, Matthew T.

Well I'm confused now. There was a French or Swiss XM at the ICCCR, which you all told me was Sable. And that it was available in this country before champagne. Unless I'm totally confused.... Isn't champagne more golden than Sable...being more pale.
Or is it Citroen just calling the same colour different names.

Above...I can only assume is Citroen's 90th birthday bash at the Ace Cafe (I was there gawping at the Black 2.0 SEI)...is Clearly Matthews Champagne V6...which justs looks fantastic.
Interestingly Your Mandarin XM Matthew looks totally different with body coloured trim. It is still a favorite, but I prefer it like Will's SD!....Sorry.

Chris...there was plenty of Xm's going about here in Cheltenham throughout the 90's of all colours. My least favorite being plain dark blue.... just didn't seem to work. An Olympic blue one was seen once visiting the Ladies College leisure complex (open to the public) years ago. Must have been 1997ish. thought to myself then, that is rare. H plate if I remember rightly.

Now what do we think of Onyx? the mint green colour?

Here are some more photos Russ, including of the Sable car at ICCR and further early models in Olympic and the darker Memphis blue you mentioned. In the UK at least Sable and Champagne were never available together and the lighter Sable and Oynx are both a bit 'washed out' for my taste. With regards, Matthew T. PS. My V6 was the other XM at the Ace cafe 60th birthday bash!

Thank You Matthew. I wasn't going mad. I know we discussed Sable at CXM and you showed me the brochures of it. I like it personally. Well I like both Sable and Champagne, but Sable is just a little warmer than Silver. I don't mind the subtly. It makes it more interesting.
MMMM...respray?!
I had no idea Xm's were available in Sable. I don't think I have ever seen one.

That's Mike Brewer in the background of you 90th pic.
