Your link says you have rebuilt the front and rear suspension. That is putting potential buyers off as it sounds like it failed, but what exactly does that mean?jamesnoble wrote:Hi
I'm new here but have been a Citroen enthusiast for years and have had 2 XM V6's (which I owned for a total of 13 years). I have found an XM I really want to buy but need to free up some drive space for it. That means my very rare C6 Exclusive Petrol (they sold 30!) has to go as I am not selling my CX GTi Turbo 2 Familiale (yes really). The C6 has to be the car you always promised yourself and now I have found the XM I want I am prepared to move on the price; you would also be helping me back into the XM fold.
You can see the car at

Re: Selling the C6 to buy an XM
I was sorely tempted by this C6 and I PM'd you through the CCC forum regarding it but the distance between us made it awkward to get to see the car.
Last week I was offered a 2007 Peugeot 407 Coupe that I couldn't turn down so ended up with that instead.
Best of luck with the sale, it sounds like a really nice car.
Dieselman, C6's are heavy on bottom ball joints, mine had one done under warranty at 24k miles, the struts on the front also fail, if I'd had the hub off to replace a wheel bearing, bottom ball joints and the rest of it, for the sake of £20 a side I'd also do the drop links. It is a 70k mile car as well which weighs 1800kg so will be heavy on suspension and ball joints with the poor roads we have over here, the last few PSA cars we've had as a family have also needed wheel bearings as they approached 70-80k so the fact that this car has had them replaced already and the owner is advising people of this is more likely to entice buyers rather then put them off.
Regards
David.
