Looks like a staight original early car - is the handbrake the only MOT issue you're
expecting it to need sorting? What has been done to the original chrome door inserts:
are they painted or covered in tape?

They look painted to me. As well as the handbrake cable it looks like the wipers might be in trouble..

Not quite original, the leather seats and alloy wheels are add on.

Door inserts ? Since I have owned her I have not changed anything apart from the radio (no radio fitted) and nearside headlamp glass (rest of the new headlight is in the boot) apart from cable and yes the wipers(including the rear), I cant think of anything , but , mot's always come as a shock to me, for the last one , it needed nothing (that was a shock) so not sure. I can think of nothing obvious. Sun roof doesn't work, the last owner told me " it opens fine but struggles to shut" so he removed the fuse. I also had to do an emergency repair on the rear right light cluster when the hatch strut came off its nipple and popped the light out, i was on holiday in Scotland at the time, so I just stuck it back with sealer, been like that ever since.
I would go out and look, but I'm back in work and will not see the old girl before Friday.
Thank you for help with the pictures (although, now I'm away, every time I look at the pics, I think I must be mad. Selling a faithful dog). And such a pretty one.

Just out of interest, how did you reach that conclusion? The seats do look like the standard S1 leather, and the wheels, though they've obviously been painted gold (nice touch IMO), are original items too surely?

Or am I being stupid?

Listing title says SD!

An SED would have alloys and leather as standard but an SD could have them
as an extra paid option. The clincher for it being an SD would be the non AC
and no seat belt pretensioners.

Last night someone came to view the car.A friend went to start her as I'm away, and despite no problems in the past the old girl played up (I think she's got wind of the sale. You know what they say, a woman scorned) First the battery was flat and had to be started with leads, then, when the ignition was turned off, the engine remained running, and the dash lights went into disco mode while the rpm needle danced like it was on Britain's got talent.
I will get a sparkey to have a look, but if anyone else has suffered this, some suggestions would be welcomed.

One suspect would be a loose battery terminal, another would be things being fried as a result of reverse polarity connection of the jump leads.

Your 100% correct as both of the E-Bay listing (by the forum member 'Magic carpet') and the current listing location is Hawkhurst in Kent.

Also if you click on the E-Bay photo to enlarge it, you can can just see that the reg. number (As it's not really that visible in the smaller shot) that it checks out as 'H880 CPX' which is the same as 'magic carpet' E-Bay Ad. !

Oh dear Will and you really did want those style of Alloy's !

I wonder how much the breaker's will want for just the set of Alloy's (Complete with the stud-bolts) ?

Also don't forget the sound looking suspension strut top's for those needing the smaller dia./type
